Raats
Bruwer Raats has followed a fairly typical trajectory for a South African winemaker. Viticulture and Enology at Elsenberg, then extended travels abroad gaining experience in Bordeaux, Napa, Germany and Tuscany. He returned to South Africa in 2000 and founded Raats Family Wines. He specialises in Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, grape varieties which produce fresh, long-ageing wines, and has cemented his reputation both within South African and internationally as one of the finest producers in the country.
