The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village was quite closed at first when I tasted it from barrel, opening gradually to show crushed strawberry and morello cherries and touches of pressed violet. The palate is medium-bodied with plump tannins on the entry, mulberry and wild strawberry fruit flavors, and a touch of black olive toward the saline finish. Compact at the moment, it will require 3–4 years in bottle. Very fine. 89-91 points

Dense rich purple, the nose has stayed classic, very promising. Very good balance here, gains energy through the middle and finishes on adequate acidity. All in a pure fresh red fruit. Given that the Griots so not pick early it is good to see the classic qualities of this Vosne-Romanée. 90-92 points
