Jane Anson
Medium plus intensity, ruby reflections, touch of gunsmoke reduction then opens to Pessac Léognan balance and finesse with smoked clove notes, blueberry fruits with rose stem austerity, but overall this is well constructed with inky damson and cassis fruits. 45hl/ha yield. 93 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2023 Olivier is a deep, layered wine. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, chocolate and a kiss of French oak give the 2023 its racy, modern personality. There`s terrific depth. Today, the new oak is a bit present, but this is a young barrel sample. Overall, the 2023 is quite promising. 89-91 points

The 2023 Olivier shows a little reduction on the nose, but just beyond that is decent fruit concentration—blackberry and blueberry fruit, with light violet scents that come through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sorbet-fresh black fruit laced with licorice. There is more body on the finish than expected. This is quite an intense Pessac-Léognan that deserves three to five years in bottle. Very promising. 91-93 points
