The 2019 Pinot Noir Brauneberger Klostergarten ** offers a pure and intense, wonderfully concentrated and spicy, herbal/floral bouquet of ripe cherries and red as well as dark berries. On the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense and intense, tight and energetic and powerful in the best way yet not alcoholic Pinot that reveals concentration paired with great elegance and finesse. The finish is pure, saline, crystalline and most of all intense and aromatic. This is a great Pinot Noir that was aged in barrels for 18 months. The aftertaste is fascinating and nearly endless. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in May 2023. 94+ points
