With co-founder Daniela Mastroberadino at our Bishopsgate shop from 5-7pm
Like Uncorked, Terredora was founded in 1994 and also like us has been on the same site ever since. A division in the Mastroberardino family meant Terredora kept the vineyards and were put in a position to build on previous success with holdings in Irpinia and inland from Napoli and Salerno. The wines have been Uncorked favourites for ages and we love the characterful white and magisterial reds.
These are terroir wines, their volcanic soils, altitude and aspect all contribute to the fine quality. Not for nothing does the family farm in three DOCG regions. Even the cellars are 650 metres high. Both farming and cellar operations are meticulous and modern, yet demonstrate a healthy respect for the worthwhile traditions of artisanal winemaking. This high area of Campania is for many an unexpected beacon of quality in southern Italy, but today's tasting with Daniela Mastroberardino will answer your questions and introduce you to these magnificent wines. Campania's best producer? You be the judge. /CW
