The `Bric` means top of the hill or ridge. This is a little gamier than the 2014, showing the development of the extra four years on the nose. The 2010 Rivetti Bric`Micca has lots of spice notes, camphor, citrus peel. On the palate it`s creamy with good red fruit on the attack. There`s energy again, light body and fairly delicate but very fine tannins and freshness. Good length and finishes almost menthol and cleansing.

Savory herbs, licorice, menthol and tobacco all take shape in Rivetti`s 2010 Barbaresco Bric Micca. This is a decidedly intriguing Barbaresco with tons of aromatic complexity and nuance. Quite simply, there is a lot going on in the glass. At the same time, the fruit is already a bit forward and gently oxidative, which is unusual for the year. It seems to me that with a little more attention the Bric Micca could be a considerably better wine. As it is, it is still outstanding. My preference would be to drink the 2010 over the next few years, before the fruit fades even further. 90 points
