Every vintage, Bodegas Muga keep back some of the best barrels intended for their reserva aside, to make their special selection. Rich, sweet and complex, this is the regular Tinto Reserva turned up to 11. In vintages that don`t quite merit a gran reserva, this will also be their top cuvee. Mint, liquorice and a balsamic character mingle with the more familiar Rioja notes of hedgerow fruits, leather and vanilla in a beautifully textured wine. Impossible not to love. (NT 08/09/16)
