Jean-Marc Boillot is a Pommard-based producer, hence the distinctive Pommard bottle, but he also has holdings in Rully. The Meix Cadot vineyard is probably Rully`s finest terroir, producing some very distinguished white wines. Boillot`s 2013 Meix Cadot seems to be a relatively light style of white Burgundy when you pop the cork, although it is surprising how much it powers up when left open for a while. Fine white Burgundy at a fraction of the price you`d pay a bit further further north. (NT 03/05/16)
