High, stony, Caillerets is said to offer one of the finest expressions of Chassagne, rich wines with complexity, minerality and the ability to age. This bottling is a beautiful snapshot of that character, full of ripe lemon and apricot fruit, candlewax and white pepper. The fruit may be ripe, but there is no heaviness at all; it is linear, bright and pure. (NT 08/01/20)

Lovely pale lemon colour, but it is the bouquet that really draws attention, properly noble, with a crunchy mineral character. Then the concentration on the palate is mindboggling and the finish is keeping me happy quite a while! A great vineyard being interpreted by a winemaker on top of his game. 95-98 points

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru reflects its terroir brilliantly on the nose, which offers aromas of wet limestone and flint, beautifully defined and gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is wonderfully balanced with green apples, freshly sliced pear and just a touch of citrus lemon. This is taut, almost Zen-like in style – just as Caillerets ought to be. Superb. 92-94 points

Scents of citrus oil, beeswax, warm bread and green pear preface Moreau`s 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets, a medium to full-bodied, chalky and incisive wine that displays terrific depth and dimension, concluding with a long and mineral finish. 92-94+ points

Rich and spicy, really rich, ripe, golden fruit. Spicy breadth and depth, but still draws in fresh on the finish. It has a minerality but more in spice than wet stones. 16.5+ points
