The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto San Marcellino is stellar. Silky and very much medium in body, the 2018 is a wine more of finesse than power. Dark-toned fruit, coffee, lavender, licorice, dried herbs and a kiss of new oak all grace this exquisite, wonderfully nuanced Gran Selezione. In 2018, the San Marcellino is all restraint and understatement. 94 points
