The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has a well defined bouquet with black cherries and touches of cassis fruit. Quite high-toned but nicely focused. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet ripe tannins, lightly spiced black fruit with a strict, black olive-tinged finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle. 87-89 points

Deep damson purple, this is quite powerfully reductive, but that does not interfere with the hugely seductive weight of fruit on the palate that easily shrugs off the reduction. This village Morey St-Denis of an astonishing quality, with such intensity and freshness. Extraordinary. I cannot remember a Morey of this quality here (or indeed anywhere else). 92-94 points
