Les Greffieux is located at the foot of the Hermitage hill, on a glacial alluvial deposit terrace composed of shingles and clay. The vines here are all over 50 years old, leading to powerful, concentrated wine. Roasted notes combine with aromas of blackberry and an exotic, more floral perfume, endowing this wine with excellent complexity. (NT 10/05/20)

Julia Harding MW
Very dark crimson. Highly aromatic with intensely peppery black fruit, a light floral note like peony, plus a smoky/meaty savour. Stunning depth and power and yet still fresh even with 15% alcohol. Goes on and on. 18 points
