The 2021 Barolo Monvigliero is one of the best wines I have tasted from Fratelli Alessandria in some time. The aromatics alone are haunting in their beauty. Rose petal, tangerine peel, cinnamon, kirsch, pomegranate and mint explode from the glass. Beams of supporting tannin give the wine its vertical build. This is such a promising Barolo. It could very well turn out to be one of the wines of the vintage. Drink 2028 - 2045. 95-97 points

Reflecting the nose, the delicious, enveloping palate delivers layers of ripe black cherry, crushed raspberry, tobacco and licorice before closing on a hint of game. Drink 2029–2041. 95 points
