Fine quite deep red purple, the bouquet shows a touch of volatility, but plenty of red fruit energy, if not fully ripe. Slightly shrill then a bit of darker pepper, higher acidity and fair length. More volume from 2021 with some family vines which came across. 1ha total now. 86-88 points

The 2021 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru is a blend of three Premier Crus when it is usually two (the additional one comes from En Reugne). It has a light mulberry bouquet that just needs a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite saline in the mouth but it just needs more complexity on the finish. 84-86 points
