Sentiers is contiguous to Ruchots, but over the commune border in Chambolle. The bouquet is poignant, wistful, very Chambolle in style, and quite different from its neighbour Ruchots; the mouthfeel is ethereal, and expresses more on the upper palate than the mid-tongue. But there is a rapier flick of acidity on the finish. Serious, fine stuff. (NT 12/12/24)

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru requires a few swirls of the glass to reveal its fragrant black cherry and raspberry fruit laced with incense. The detailed and focused aromatics lead to a fresh and vibrant palate, framed by fine tannins. It is quite sapid in the mouth with a linear yet intense finish and a dab of salted licorice. This has great potential. 92-94 points

Slightly closer to crimson than ruby, and the fruit is a mix of strawberry and blood orange. Very compelling, less ripe than Ruchots, indeed the picking date has been perfectly timed. Plenty of energy on the palate, just the right acidity, with a long and lively. The vines were tressed here. 93-95 points
