The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Combottes 1er Cru uses 30% whole bunch from 70-year-old vines. The nose has exquisite delineation and more mineralite than preceding cuvees. It`s airy yet with real presence. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins, quite tart red fruit notes and a sorbet-fresh finish that lingers in the mouth. Bon vin. 93-95 points

Next door to Aux Echanges, on a gentle slope, with more limestone. 70-year-old vines in good health, so 40% whole bunch was possible. Medium density ruby. Good raspberry fruit here, a little more personality than Aux Echanges, some alpine strawberries, with very good length. A sense of crisp precision, while the flavours remain in the mouth much longer. 92-94 points
