Forward, pretty fruit but seems rather simple and shallow. Not much sense of scale or minerality. (NT 12/12/24)

Neal Martin
The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Village matured in foudre and 600-liter barrels for the first time. It offers admirable purity and presence on the nose, with raspberry and wild strawberry aromas intermingling with faint touches of undergrowth and mint. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit tones. It is finely balanced yet needs a little more complexity on the finish. Still, it has purity and translates its terroir with style. 88-90 points

An even crimson colour. The nose has a little more stuffing than the Chambolle, slightly softer and rounder, with typical strawberry notes. Tightens up a little further back on the palate, with a red fruit mix and fair persistence. 88-91 points
