This has a nice sense of freshness; there`s a touch of roundness on the palate, the fruit is certainly ripe and the acidity quite marked. The Cornas tannins are present, giving a cleansing sensation on the tongue. Medium length, compact, ripe and juicy, this will drink well young. Almost all destemmed, perhaps 5% whole bunches. Tasted from a five-year-old barrel. 92 points

Dark red; this has a springy aroma, blackberry fruit with lift, purpose, a touch of easy sweetness, some damp forest. The palate is juicy and open, offers running black berry fruit that extends agreeably. The attack sets it up well, while the tannins add a squeezy extra layer, are themselves tasty. It’s a free delivery, well juiced, w.o.w. Cornas, entertaining more than serious. The finish produces a note of violets that is authentic. From mid-late-2025. 3.5*
