Bota Punta Viejisima de Trebujena
Saca de Octubre de 2021. One of the great satisfactions of the Equipo Navazos adventure, has been the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional people, such as those at the Albarizas de Trebujena Co-operative and bottle this incredible Amontillado. It reminds us of La Bota de Amontillado Viejisimo 5 `NPI`. First for its focused character, despite the tremendous concentration from great age. Second, the uncertainty about its origins. The co-operative was founded in 1977 but the wine is older, and it’s not entirely clear how it came to be at the winery, even the veterans are unsure. In our opinion, it shows a profile of the Guadalquivir area, with a style similar to that from Sanlucar. -Jesus Barquin, professor of criminology and founder of Equipo Navazos

The NV La Bota de Amontillado Bota Punta 109 is a very old wine they selected from the cooperative of Trebujena that had never been bottled before. The cooperative was created in 1970, but one of the members had these butts from before; their history was really unknown, but the wine has a profile of coastal Amontillado (from Sanlucar or Trebujena) with less glycerin, sharp and saline, not as sharp or as bitter as the iconic NPI but with crazy numbers—alcohol, acidity, dry extract and everything. It`s very intense but very balanced. An amazing wine that should live forever. It was bottled into 1,200 half bottles (one bota) in October 2021. 98 points
