John Livingstone-Learmonth
clear yellow robe; the nose shows toasting, a hazelnut, grapey aroma, a note of `high`, dampness, in its fruit. The palate offers a restrained, gently rolling richness, carries a little tang, a hint of tannin, towards the finish, salted grip there. It’s not yet come together, has inner reserves of depth, can settle and spread well over the next 18 months. It’s a structured, clear, interesting Condrieu, upright in shape for the moment. 14.5°. 8,000 b. From mid-2024, decant. 2031-33 4 stars
