We like our Rhones very much and this week sees our offering from the South, or Meridional as the natives say. These wines are full-blooded and full bodies, often made with many more grape varieties than their Septentrional (narthern) peers. They are fruity, herby, often capable of great age and have intensity because the region is in a more-or-less perpetual state of drought; leading to low yields.

We are showing you a range of fine wines from a range of some of our favourite producers, with different terroirs. All suitable for entertaining a mother, if you have one handy, or simply for playing nicely with a range of robust foods.
