Inama wines on tasting today from midday
Stefano and Matteo Inama represent both the best of Soave and the best of both tradition and current practice. The Soave Classico is a 100% Garganega wine of richness and bags of flavour, but the Foscarino that they started making in 1991 is a pinnacle of the DOC. Here they draw inspiration from Roman and medieval techniques, fused with a modern take, to make a wine of intensity; richly textured and with great character.
Stefano's never been satisfied with making only great white wine. In the Colli Berici just outside Vicenza he bought land on a strip of red, iron rich soil ideal for the Carmenere and Cabernet grapes he fashions into finely structured wines of full blooded flavours and elegant poise.
This shop wouldn't exist without a bomber, so brand ambassador Phil 'Bomber' Harris will present the wines at lunchtime, while Matteo, youngest generation of the Inama dynasty, will be here from 5pm. Please come and join them in tasting these splendid wines. /CW
