A thankfully understated southern hemisphere Sauvignon, barrel fermented (only 30% new oak), but fairly mineral and not fermented with these weird yeasts that so many of the industrial New Zealand producers like so much. In other words this is an authentic wine that shows actual Franschhoek character. (CW 27/06/12)
