A large, complex vineyard which has one foot in Morey-St-Denis, and which is thought to have a slightly wilder steak than much Chambolle. Dense, aromatic fruit complemented by baking spices, but with a stony, mineral streak running through it, too. In the mouth it is pure, ripe and intense. Enormousy impressive; this just sweeps you along. Quite a lot of tannin, too; it slipped down while I was tasting, but afterwards found my mouth quite coated. (NT 09/01/20)
