Older vines which now produce a stable crop on SO4 rootstock. Not quite the same class of nose as the Genevrieres, the warmth shows a little more, then a broad brush of generous ripe orchard fruit on the palate, just enough acidity, and very good length. Drink from 2028-2036 92-94 points

The 2022 Meursault Les Perrieres 1er Cru comes from a parcel of 50-year-old vines. It has a typical Perrieres bouquet with crushed limestone infusing the citric fruit, maybe less entrancing than the Genevrieres but well-defined. The palate is well-balanced with a lively entry, a taut line of acidity, and hints of egg whites and orange rind towards the persistent finish. Excellent. 93-95 points
